The Anointing

Friday
2nd July 2010

The anointing of God is simply the endowment of God’s manifold ability upon man. God does impart His ability to man, to enable man to represent God, in God’s strength, as God’s ambassador, for a given period or season. With the anointing one can get results in the earth as God would if He were in human form. This makes man to function like God in the earth.

A person can be anointed with  God’s character and nature, God’s wisdom or mind, God’s power and God’s official gifts or talents e.t.c Acts 1:24, 1 Corinthians 1:24,

Jesus Christ needed to be anointed by the Holy Spirit in order for Him to do works of God as God’s ambassador on earth.

Acts 10:38. how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power, and how he went around doing good and healing all who were under the power of the devil, because God was with him.

As we travel through different nations for ministry, business, tourism or just visits we need to ask the Lord to anoint us with the Holy Spirit and power. I reckon we are living in hard times globally, this are the times that Christians need to move in the anointing like never before.

Isaiah 10:27.. It shall come to pass in that day
That his burden will be taken away from your shoulder, And his yoke from your neck, And the yoke will be destroyed because of the anointing oil.

Vision

Tuesday
8th June 2010

2010-04-12 – Estelle Logan – Waterbrook Church.

As I prayed this morning, it dawned on me that God is giving me every week, a  vision or dream that I feel is very relevant to us as the Body of Christ. When Jeremiah was called to be a prophet of God, He asked him in verse 11 “ Moreover, the word of the Lord came to me, saying, Jeremiah, what do you see? And I said, I see a branch or shoot of an almond tree (the emblem of alertness and activity, blossoming in late winter). :12 Then said the Lord to me, You have seen well, for I am alert and active, watching over My word to perform it.”

There are many examples in the scriptures, where God has spoken to Moses, Joseph, Jacob, Abraham, David, Solomon, the disciples, through dreams and visions. Peter declared in Acts 2:17 (Joel 2:8) “And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, That I will pour out  My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your young men shall see visions, your old men shall dream dreams.”

As Home Fellowship leaders, it is my desire that we will awaken spiritually and  “tune in”  to what God is saying to us NOW (we are in the last days). The NOW word for the church. He will show us what to pray into, what He is saying to His church. I feel this will teach us to listen and to be expectant to hear from Him. If God is giving anybody a dream or vision during the week that they feel they want to share, Please e-mail mestaff@thewaterbrookchurch.com that the body of Christ can be blessed.  Then we can pray into it, because God said that He is “watching over His Word to perform it.”so

Two dreams/visions that God revealed to me Sunday night:

Vision 1: I saw a little Caucasian girl, with beautiful curly long golden/ white blond hair. She was sitting in a canoe, which was moving along on a concreted canal.

White – meaning: clean, washed, purified. Ps 51:7; Isa 1:18; Dan 11:35. Gold/en: Refined/pure/holy Job 23:10 Hebr 9:4 Glory 1 peter 1:7.

Hair – meaning: anointing, glory, strength. Judges 16:19-20; 22;  Proverbs 16:31;

Caucasian - meaning: fleshly man 1 Cor 15:44-48

Canoe – meaning: Holy Spirit lead individual. Canoe/kayak moving without paddle in running water, speaking of the individual who is lead by the Spirit of God. Zach 4:6

Concrete canal – meaning:  Word  foundation. Luke 6:48

Message:  God is saying that He has set us apart to be clean and washed with the Word of God and the Blood of the Lamb. He has empowered His people, you and me, with His anointing, glory and strength to do mighty exploits for Him. We have to die to self, the carnal nature, so that we can truly say: “I do not live anymore, but Christ now lives in me.” God is raising us up to be the Spirit filled body of Christ, whose unmovable foundation is in Jesus Christ our Lord/the Word of God.

Vision 2: Big Baboon (like King Kong) herding a lot of little baboons/monkeys down a tree studded wide road. Saw them from the back.

King Kong – meaning: Stronghold (defiant) 1 Sam 17:4 Strong man Matt 12:29.

Little monkeys – meaning: mischievous spirits Ps 38:12; mood swings: depression (up one minute down the next) James 1:8

Page 2

Broad road – meaning: the way that leads to destruction Matt 7:13

Green trees – meaning: idolatry Jer 3:6; multitudes of people Isaiah 7:2; Isaiah 10:18-19, 34. Hiding place for predators 2 Kings 2:24; Ps 50:10; Place of idolatry/works Isa 44:13-15

Back – meaning: burden Matt 23:4

Message: We have heard last Sunday at Waterbrook Church of the terrible devastation that sex slavery, drugs, alcohol , killing the innocent, abusing the innocent, hunger, etc (what else can you think of) is affecting Countries and Nations. Many  people are being  attacked with depression and despair and hopelessness because of their situation.  Our fight is not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, powers of spiritual darkness. People is being attacked and burdened with every wicked scheme of the Devil and carnal work.

I believe God is calling us,  His body to pray and intercede and  bind these spiritual strongholds and demon spirits  in the Countries and Nations so that multitudes of people can be saved from the road that leads to destruction and eternal damnation and be set free as He send His people out in the field of harvest.

Matt 12:29 Mark 3:27 “how can one enter a strong man’s house and plunder his goods, unless he first binds the strong man and then he will plunder his house?”

SOME STRONGMEN:  Eph 6:12 For we are not wrestling with flesh and blood but against the despotisms, against the powers, against the master spirits who are the (1) world rulers of this present darkness, against the (2) spirit forces of wickedness in the heavenly sphere.

LYING:   (2 Cron 18:22) lies, adultery, fornication, sodomy, profanity, homosexuality, superstition, divination, witchcraft, vanity, hypocrisy, religions spirits, strong delusion, control, stubbornness, exaggeration.(plus: vain imagination, condemns ecclesiastics, criticizes men of God, tells loves you- does not, nobody satisfies them, never win an argument, esteems self highly, wants revenge, false visions, isolates self, insinuation, driving sprits, vain notions, deception.)

PERVERSION:  (Isaiah 19:14) twists words, turn truth, doctrinal error, wrong teaching, hatred of God, error, wounded spirit, self-lovers, sex troubles, homosexuals, lust, perverts the Gospel, rebellion, hate.

HEAVINESS: (Isa 61:3) self pity, rejection, sorrow, sadness, hopelessness, grief, loneliness, gloominess, despair, discouragement, mourning, troubled, gluttony, rejection, depression, idolatry, devil is God.

WHOREDOM: (Hos 4:12) unclean, foul, idolatry, homosexuality, fornication, prostitution, adultery, LOVE OF: world, money and food, pornography, ALL  sexual sins, emotional weakness, unequally yoked.

JEALOUSY: (Num 5:14) vengeance,  rage, murder, anger, suspicion, competition, revenge, restlessness, cruelty, hate, selfishness, division, wrath, envy.

BONDAGE:  (Rom 8:15) All compulsory addictions: cigarettes, alcohol, drugs (pornography, internet, food, gambling etc.) lust, unforgiveness, bitterness, greed, cancer, anguish of spirit, satanic activity, spiritual blindness, prayerlessness, abused, bruised, broken, ambition: power, money, religious.

Page 3

DISCUSSION POINTS:

1.       Are dreams and visions relevant for today?

2.       The Bible say “test” the spirits – can and should we safely and responsibly create an environment whereby we judge whether the vision/dream is from God?

3.       What does the first vision mean to you?

4.       What does the second vision mean to you?

LOOK AHEAD

Tuesday
4th May 2010

Lord, help me look ahead. It's time to look ahead. Help me to turn my
attention away from the things that have already passed and direct my
focus toward the things that are yet to be. I've spent too much time
looking back. I have spent too much time dwelling on the things that I
cannot change. I have spent too little time on the opportunities that
lay ahead.

Lord, help me to enjoy the memories I have of my children as they have
grown and moved toward independence. But, help me not to dwell so much
on "those days" that I miss "these days" we are living now, and enable
me to enjoy them to the fullest.

Lord, help me never forget the times and the ways you have delivered me
in the past, but do not allow me to think that Your days of deliverance
are over, and help me never doubt that You will continue to deliver me
in the future.

Lord, help me stop dwelling on the mistakes of the past to such an
extent that I am paralyzed with fear of making another mistake.

Lord, remind me that my sins have been forgiven and that I am free to
live a life of victory with confidence and boldness in the future.

Lord, thank You for enabling me to accomplish some good things in my
life, help me to not be satisfied with those things already
accomplished, and help me to continue to rely on You for everything I
endeavor to accomplish in the future.

Lord, help us as Your people, to let go of the past, to admit where we
have failed, rejoice where we have succeeded, and move on toward what
You have planned for the future.

Lord, I have wasted too much time dwelling on the past.

Lord, help us to take responsibility for our oversights of the past,
learn from them, and venture into the future without guilt, or regrets,
and be fully determined to do a better job as Your ambassadors to the
world in the future.

Lord, You have brought us through tragedy and triumph. You have never
failed us. We have every reason to believe that our future with You
will be glorious. So, let us live today to the fullest and with
confidence and with hope.

Consider the example of Moses:

By faith Moses, when he had grown up, refused to be known as the
son of Pharaoh's daughter. He chose to be mistreated along with the
people of God rather than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a short
time. He regarded disgrace for the sake of Christ as of greater
value than the treasures of Egypt, because he was looking ahead to
  his reward. By faith he left Egypt, not fearing the king's anger;
he persevered because he saw him who is invisible. By faith he kept
the Passover and the sprinkling of blood, so that the destroyer of
the firstborn would not touch the firstborn of Israel (Hebrews
  11:24-28 NIV).

Consider the words of Paul:

Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been
made perfect, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ
Jesus took hold of me. Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to
have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is
behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the
goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in
  Christ Jesus (Philippians 3:12-14 NIV).

Lord, I have wasted too much time dwelling on the past. We have wasted
too much time dwelling on the past. Help me, and help us, to stop
looking back and look ahead to what You have planned.

MISSED OPPORTUNITIES

Tuesday
27th April 2010

The story is told of a young man who wished to marry the farmer's
beautiful daughter. He went to the farmer to ask his permission. The
farmer looked him over and responded, "Son, go stand out in that field
and I'm going to release three bulls, one at a time. If you can catch
the tail of any one of the three bulls, you can marry my daughter."

The young man stood in the pasture awaiting the first bull. The
barn
door
opened and out ran the biggest, meanest-looking bull he had ever
seen. He decided that one of the next bulls had to be a better choice
than this one, so he ran over to the side and let the bull pass through
the pasture out the back gate.

The barn door opened again. Unbelievable. He had never seen anything so
big and fierce in his life. It stood -- pawing the ground, grunting,
slinging slobber -- as it eyed him. Whatever the next bull was like, it
had to be a better choice than this one. He ran to the fence and let
the bull pass through the pasture out the back gate.

The door opened a third time. A smile came across his face. This was
the weakest, scrawniest little bull he had ever seen. This one was his
bull. As the bull came running by, he positioned himself just right and
jumped at just the exact moment. He grabbed ... but the bull had no
tail!

We may miss out altogether.

Life is full of opportunities. Some will be easy to take advantage of,
some will be difficult. But once we let them pass -- often in hopes of
something better -- those opportunities may never again be available.

The same thing is also true of opportunities to serve Christ. God often
opens doors -- opportunities to speak up for Him, opportunities to
minister to someone who is hurting or in need, opportunities to make an
influence on the world around us. If we allow them to pass by (perhaps
because we are waiting for something easier to come along), we may miss
out on them altogether.

Continue praying, keeping alert, and always thanking God. Also pray
for us that God will give us an opportunity to tell people his
  message (Colossians 4:2-3 NCV).

Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all,
especially to those who are of the household of faith (Galatians
  6:10).

May you take advantage of the doors God opens for you this week.

DO NOT QUIT

Wednesday
21st April 2010

When things go wrong,
as they sometimes will,
When the road you're trudging
seems all uphill,

When the funds are low
and the debts are high,
And you want to smile,
but you have to sigh.

When care is pressing
you down a bit,
Rest if you must,
but don't you quit.

Life is strange,
it will twist and turn,
As all of us will someday learn.

And many a person turns about,
When they might have won,
had they stuck it out.

Don't give up, though the
pace seems slow.
You may succeed
with another blow.

Often strugglers have given up,
When you might have captured
the victor's cup.

And you learned too late
when the night came down,
How close you were
to the golden crown.

Success is failure turned inside out.
So stick to the fight
when you're hardest hit,

It's when things seem worst
that you mustn't quit!

2Kings 6:16-17.[Elisha said,] “Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” And Elisha prayed, and said, “Lord, I pray, open his eyes that he may see.” Then the Lord opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw. And behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.

The India Trip 19/10

Thursday
29th October 2009

I have been looking forward to this trip for months – Bless the Lord for using Simon for introducing us to India! Pst Kevin, David and Bruce received us at the airport in Chennai few minutes to midnight. Checked in a nice hotel walking distance from the slum where Kevin and Debra are pastoring. Happy to catch up with Simon, Julie, Peter and the whole team for breakfast on a Saturday Morning.

Had a team of 13 Missionaries. Had a wonderful time of prayer at Pst Kevin’s Church then did house to house evangelism with the rest of the team in the slum under the leadership of Kevin. The level of poverty in the slum and the happy faces of the kids melted our hearts. The Lord healed and saved people as we prayed moving from house to house. We saw the hunger for God in the streets when a gentleman on a motorcycle stopped with his daughter asking to be laid hands on and prayed for a miracle. The climax of the day was a crusade at night. Debra’s anointed voice and the Indian beats pulled the presence of God in the meeting. Preached on “Lazarus come forth” and witnessed people giving their lives to the Lord and miracles signs and wonders following. Glory to Jesus!

Sunday was a big day. Had three Services and a time to walk in the slums again and pray for people in their houses. Highly energized service, approximetly 350 members sitting on the floor under high temperatures worshiping God with so much zeal and thirst. The team ministered to the kids and the church, experienced a lot of miracles of healing and deliverance in the services.

Traveled almost 3 hours away from Chennai town to a small Village where Kevin and Debra have a church plant. Open Air meeting in the village, had a wonderful time with the kids in the village and did minister to the people again by the grace of God we saw the power of God. The previous Pastor had passed on last year at the age of 32 leaving behind a widow and two kids, the Lord ministered to the Pastor’s widow so powerfully. What a joy to see her getting soaked in the anointing and receiving the assurance from heaven that, it is well. Praise God!!!

Took a local Flight and flew with the team to a state of Visakhapatnam.we were graciously hosted by pastor Paulson. Drove in a convoy of two cars for 3 hours to the village and put up at the orphanage. What a moment to meet up with beautiful kids with genuine love of God and affection, so gifted. Thursday and Friday had a pastor’s conference. By the grace of God we had 150 pastors in attendance. After the final teaching on Friday evening, we laid hands on all of them. God touched us all. It was phenomenal!!! God was moving across the congregation, touching His people and delivering them from various ailments and diseases. A few people got delivered from the spirit of witchcraft that manifested in the service. It was truly awesome in the truest sense of the word!

Later had a nice evening with the kids and the team. Fireworks at the rooftop. Spent the Saturday with the kids at the Beach and later did a meeting in a village church. Sunday had four services, witnessed amazing creative miracles. Watch out for the photos. Saw tumors disappear, a man had a motorbike accident couldn’t not walk began walking etc.many more gave their lives to the Lord. Witnessed the Lord heal a child of 5 months with a heart condition and we dedicated the baby and called him”Samuel”.the parents were Hindu.

It was humbling yet so full of impact. our lives were so changed by our mission to India. The faces of the kids in the slum and the zeal and commitment of the pastor’s will forever be imprinted in my heart. Taking a team back next year in February. Can’t wait. To God be the Glory!

The Word

Wednesday
23rd September 2009

The most important part of my day is Bible study and spending time with God. Every morning without fail, I spend time in the word for guidance, inspiration and direction for the day. If you don’t have a daily time of prayer and Bible study I encourage you to make that a part of your day. As important as Bible study is, it’s equally as important for us to “be” God’s word extended to the world around us.

Devine wisdom and ideas are conceived in the moment of intimacy with God
